Biodiesel , the next big thing?
With the record breaking petrol price! Heavy demand of fuel from China and India as they begin to industrialise.
As biodiesel is more environmental friendly than petrol. More ways could be develop to produce it efficiency as countries is slowly using more biodiesel.
Could biodiesel replace petrol in the future. It is viable for Singapore to concentrate research on biodiesel, as Singapore had the largest hinterland of palm oil in the world, vast biodiversity around the region.
Recently Normay is building the world largest solar cell centre in the world in Singapore.
Singapore had been building a $15 billions biopolis, why not concentrate on it as it attracting the top scientist in the world to research at One North.

The exciting mult-functional facilities at Bouna Vista MRT
Years ago I had suggested a multi functional buildings for community bonding at the MRT. Finally it had arrived to Bouna Vista MRT. The theatre will be a state of art modern design by the look of the photo.
It will likely to be a hit and one step forward for Singapore cultural and art scene near many of Singapore higher learning institutions and research centres, including a huge shopping mall and other world class facilities house near each other.

The calls from Singapore Book of Records
The theme, is to encourage cycling for skills, fitness, and protecting the environment. Hope my feats can encourage more people to take up cycling as an alternative mode of transport.
Some people asked me did I get injured. Of course I did, but not serious. It took me years to master it.
Cycling skills is a matter of practice. The more training a cyclist get, the more difficult skills he can master and the more proficient he can handle a bike.
Numerous questions arose from trying to perform the feats. Where to get that type of bike in the West, where I used stay at Sims Dr there are two bike shops operating nearby. At my place here in the West there are no bike shop, if I want to adjust and repair it.
Doing these type of extraordinary feats, because of the rough usages, constantly need backup of a bike nearly and their tools.
When SBOR called me, told me an organisation want to sponsor a bike for a mass participation, so I went around to look for one, for one and the half hour, I can't find a bike shop, I went to 3 district to asked numerous people.
My aim is to ride it around one hour, hand free and using only one leg for 12 km non-stop from end to end at ECP cycling track. Maybe Singapore will be proud if I do some super feats that are rare in the world and put Singapore in the World Map. It also can encourage more people take up cycling.
To get the authorities permission, to do the feat at ECP. It's OK with me with or without people cycling at the cycling track.
Guinness Book of Record had sent me a 8 pages letter. I reply them got to call to off it
temporary.
To arrange a team of SBOR officials to take photos and record it.
GWR and SBOR requested for the medias to be present.
At Sims Dr. I can easily cycle to East Coast Park to train. When I shift to the West I had never do any bike tricks. So find a place to train also a challenge.
Even I got a bike here I got to find a bike with all the tools to adjust it to optimal conditions, until I get use to it. So I got to frequently visit to a bike shop. Maybe shifting back to the east side, solve the problems.
Any wisdom to overcome such challenges?
Riding a bike handfree, using only one leg, around the football field and at the same time carrying a bike.
Riding through 4 narrow metal poles, handfree, using only one leg, and at the same time carrying a bike.
Handfree, legfree cycling.

The spectacular Singapore National Day Parade
Our toughest challenge was 1995, our tower 8 kept falling even at the rehearsal to the finale.
I finally called my senior leader I told my senior that the trainer is putting the wrong person on the top, he should put the lightest person instead of the heavier one. We went to kaikan chanted one week and made the changes.
Finally in the grand finale we are able to put up all the towers up
Some of the NDPs, I used to hold up the hips or the thigh of the participants to prevent them from shaking to much and fell down, due to my experiences which I used to train gymnastics in my primary school days and was a member of the school gym team in my secondary school days. So I am able to apply my skills to contribute to the NDPs.

My fascinating river adventures in different parts of the world
I had numerous close calls in my made shift rafts rides, which could had drown me. Some children were drown in the canal behind my flat at Mattar Rd. After raining, the man made canal will swell rapidly and the current were very swift.
Recalling those rides would sent shivers down my spine. Fortunately, my fast reactions usually saved the day. I am able to latch on to something last minute that kept me from been swept away by the rapid current.
We would latched on wooden planks that we tied them together like a raft or large pieces of floating wood and try to navigate it down the stream using a pole to steer it.
Reminiscent of those day that I spent hours trying to catch fishes, along the long stretches of the canal.
If I looked back I had been playing in the stream so many times, how lucky am I not to been swept away. The water level can easily reach two metres deep if it rain heavily.
Later I had many wonderful trips on a boat to different parts of the world.
Recalling my fascinating trips to the Batam kelong. It was possibly my happiest experiences. Because of the very captivating sunrise and sunset. Freshly caught seafood were served with Indonesian spices.
I used to like stilt houses built around the sea and the sun.
One of my favourite trip which I enjoyed very much was the trip at the Lijiang river. I got to know some wonderful friends and subsequently we had many more wonderful outings after the trip.
We had a nice steamboat lunch, serve with fresh yummy seafood and Tsingtao beer. What a nice combination chitchatting with friends in a slow ride down the river watching such captivating scenery. Lijiang is China second most visited tourist spot.
The boat ride in Holland was an exciting one. Their Heineken beer were stronger than what had in Singapore. After some drink I got tipsy.
Down the river we can watch the rows of beautiful & colourful houses. It's interesting to note that they used to put a pulley system at the top of the building to move and remove their heavier furniture through the window. And many behind their cars, there were usually a hook.
The boat ride through the Florentine, Italy was somewhat the tightest among all my trip, it was such a thrilling adventure that the boat captain had a hard time, trying to avoid knocking into the sides of the bridges the river which was quite fast after the rain.
The London boat trip is quite exciting, there were rows of interesting Parliaments houses and castles along the sides of the river. The houses were typical old European style types of houses.
The boat trips from Hong Kong to Guangdong were as exciting, the first time I had experience riding on a hovercraft. A vehicle that float on the water and uses cushions of air underneath it to propel it forward.
The hilarious part of the ride was the movie shown on the hovercraft, featuring famous Hong Kong artiste Tien Niu and Eric Tsang making love. Tien Niu requested a condom, Eric Tsang misinterpreted it as a bag. The moral of the story is to use condom when making love.
Along the Chao Praya river, we noticed the owners decorated their houses with beautiful pots of flowers on the edges of the their stilt houses and numerous river boats, rowed toward our boat to peddling all sorts of goods.
The Colorado Cruise were very cold and windy nevertheless I enjoyed the trip.
An interesting river cruise on the Rhine River between Swiss and Germany. On the way we seen numerous beautiful castles. In between I saw a beautiful and rapid waterfall.
A trip to the Alcatraz. From San Francisco bay. Lots of birds were flying around. We can see the beautiful San Francisco bridge some distance away. It was a eerie experience seeing the Alcatraz.
My trip to Selat Panjang, an Indonesia island to court my wife was somewhat the my longest boat trip and a romantic one. Transit from Singapore to Batam island took 45 minutes and another boat to it about 3 and the half hours afterward. At that time it was raining heavily.
When I reached there I was very touched to find that my wife sister-in-law was waiting for us for more than one hour because of the delay.
It was raining. The cool breeze is blowing against us. I always like the cool sea breeze. I was usually standing behind the boat, when it moved forward, the resistance causes the water beating against me.
It was Chinese New Year and it took us 3 days to visit all my future wife's relatives and friends. It was very romantic sitting beside my future wife in a trishaw (a form of tricycle for hire).
Along the way there we spotted lots of gigantic oil drilling structures and beautiful kelongs.
At the LA Disneyland it was somehow a totally different experience. We enjoyed the assisted submarine ride watch various colourful creatures.

My innovations and inventions
To juggle a football with the heels is very difficult and I was able to do it in different patterns , together with various other patterns a few thousands times, some of my ball juggling feats were featured in the TV (Singapore Broadcasting Corporation)Mediacorp and reported in the newspaper Straits Times. It was verified in writing by the executive producer of the TV program
TIPS ON HOW TO MASTER AMAZING FOOTBALL JUGGLING/SKILLS
The secrets to these amazing feats is that, to overcome this problem, I creatively invented a method, to attached 3 specially designed elastic strings to the football and fixed it to some fixtures at the wall, when I kicked it, it always bounced back to the positions, this invention had help me to master the difficult juggling feats using the heels and other difficult football tricks. So this invention made training with the heels much easier and other difficult acts.
It's important to start early and get the best methods to short-cut your learning curve.
This way built up endurance and skills faster as you kick the ball more times, without kept picking it up. These invention is good for building up the skill levels.
These systems invented by me enabled me to be able to juggle a standard football 3,400 times , with different parts of my body except my hands, in various patterns non- stop, without the dropping ball even once. It is especially important in juggle the football, especially so by using the heels. Which is the most difficult part.
I might had broken some categories of world records. More verifications in
Hope I can get the answer some days. On the day of the feat in1986, during the changing of school sessions. In front of hundreds of Woodsvilles Secondary School students.
As I also had rode a bike without using my both hands and one legs, it means it using only one leg and it riding together with other cyclists riding up and down the track, at one go in 12 km of track, non-stop in about 45 minutes.
The secret of these amazing feats is that I had perfected a process of setting and lubricate the wheels accurate with a special lubricant, which allow me to use the least effort to ride and navigate the bike in the track with little effort.
These process let me navigating and cycling long distances using only one leg and handfree with an inexpensive bicycle.
Some of his amazing bike stunts (Click toView Slideshow) were featured in the TV and reported in newspaper.
AMAZING HANDFREE, LEGFREE CYCLING FEATS THROUGH FOUR NARROW METAL POLES FIXED ON CONCRETE FLOOR(CLICK TO ENLARGE)
I hope that as more people understand, how to use the bike most efficiency , more people will use the bike as their mode of transport, because of today high oil price, it is also good for the health and the environment.
When working in Singapore Press Holdings , I discovered a way to clear the stains (chemicals & printing ink) on the cover and inside the printing machines . As these stains were there for a lots of years, which were impossible to remove at that time using normal chemical.
This feat attracted a Japanese teacher and his student came down to the pressroom to take a look.
As since young, I was tinkering with my bike, and work more than ten years in two major industrial corporations.
I had to wake up early in the morning to send my mother and the full load of food to the hawker stall, some distance from my home in a tricycle everyday, before I ride my bike which I put on the tricycle to school. So the desire to find the most efficient ways to ride the tricycle with the least effort were always there.
SECRETS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE CAR AND PRINTING MACHINE PERFORMANCE.
As the ball-bearings, the real causes were the grease which accumulated lots of foreign particles that stick to it and caused misalignment of the wheels moving parts, because the denseness of the grease when dry, it will hardened, together with the foreign particles which stick to it.
A special chemical needs to apply and neutralise all the foreign particles, rust and chemicals that stick to it, which retard the smooth movement. These special lubricants had the quality to neutralise all the negative effects.
These special lubricants, which is aerosol based can easily penetrate and leave a thin film on the moving parts, which made movement much easier. Understand the principle and consistently do it is important. I had taught what I discovered to the mechanics of Toyota in an indirect way.
When the machine having problems most mechanics usually, thought of using grease to solve the problems, in fact more foreign substances will stick to it as a result because of the properties of the grease that let foreign particles stick on it.
As these special lubricants were applied, a thin film deposited on it and covered the surface of the ball-bearings, and with the accurate resetting of the wheels, with the using of special electronic devices, making the machines run like a new one , these simple but brilliant ideas, made hordes car owners to come back for more.
They will felt that their car perform much better after that.
Through continue experimenting and finding the right chemicals to clear irremovable stains, I finally found a concoction of chemicals, that able to remove most of the stains.
As after I had removed the ink stained on the printing machine to the surprise of everyone as the machine looked almost as new.
These had caught the attention of a Japanese teacher and he was so impressed, he brought his whole class of students to compared the machines which had the stains removed and the one which had not removed. Imagine the surprise the stains that had been there for a lots of years suddenly were removed.
He had observed numerous people setting the printing rollers. As setting the printing rollers determine the outcome of the printing job.
Some used metal feelers(can potentially damage the rollers), some use plastics (when set very tight won't break) etc. and most of them use two hands to set both sides ( one hand is usually less skillful).
THE SECRET OF HOW TO IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PRINTING MACHINES
I used only my right hand , which is more skillful , to set both sides of the printing rollers - as both sides of the rollers the pressure need to be equally distributed. If set too tight, not enough inks and water reach the printing plate. Too loose too much water and ink reach the printing plates, which cause a washout look.
If the roller settings were unbalanced, the outcome of the images were not look good either.
Advertisers usually called when they found on the day, the conditions of the printing jobs look great.
I used a special form of paper which was highly accurate in setting the pressure of the rollers. If the roller set too tight it will break, if set too loose it will be easily pulled out. Though a lots of practice both sides will be setted consistently to the optimum level.
So after months of perfecting my skills pulling out the special form of paper with only my right hands from both sides of the printing rollers, the end product came out perfectly.
Because I had been repairing, setting the wheels and riding the bicycle, since I was a few years old, I got a head start.
THE SECRET OF HOW TO IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR BIKE
